The Cancer Feminine 2D/3D art competition for artists call for applicants for 2023 is now open! Winning entries will be published online and considered for an upcoming art book titled “The Cancer Feminine- Art, Inspiration, Truth & Hope.”
The Cancer Feminine 2D/3D art competition 2023 Details
Purple Octopus Art, LLC is calling for 2D/3D art and expressive writing that is related to breast, cervical, ovarian or other gynecological cancers.
ELIGIBILITY
- All International Artists 18 and over
- All 2D/3D artworks are accepted including, but not limited to painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography and mixed media.
- Expressive writing entries must be less than 3000 words and can include, poetry, short stories and/or essays (less than 3000 words).
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS BY TYPE OF ENTRY:
- Artworks containing pornographic or satanic content will not be taken into consideration.
- Contest is open to all artists worldwide 18 years and over.
- Entry must be related to the theme.
- Images and expressive writing should be original work created by the artist.
2D/3D Artworks:
1. Images must be in jpegs 300dpi on the longest side. One image per painting, drawing or photograph.
Please make sure images are cropped correctly and we can see the details clearly. For Sculptures and other 3D works,
please make sure the best angle of the sculpture is shown to give us the complete picture
2. Each entry should be titled: Name of Artist_title_1
Example: Jane Doe_title_1 and/or Jane Doe_title_2…
Example: Jane Doe_title_1
Short Stories/Poetry/Essays.
1. Each submission must be less than 3000 words
2. Submission should be submitted in pdf format.
3. Each entry should be titled as following: a. Name of
Author_Title_Short Story/Poetry/Essay_Year written
Example: Jane Doe_My Life_Poetry_2022
Who can enter the competition?
Competition Entry fee
$15/per entry, $30 for 3 individual entries. No more than 3 entries per artist/author.
The Cancer Feminine 2D/3D art competition 2023 Prizes
Three award winners will be chosen in each category and will receive cash prizes.
- Platinum award winners will receive $200 USD.
- Gold winners will receive $150 and
- Silver award winners will receive $100.
- Honorable Mentions
Platinum and Gold winners will be the subject of a blog summarizing their works all together on MSA Experimental, an online platform that observes “creative phenomena” and carries a viewership of 250,000 hits per month. https://msa-x-2.msa-x.org.
Platinum award winners will each be the subject of an article written in Art Daily International Magazine
Award certificates will be provided and winning artists will be interviewed for blog posts to be published on the Purple Octopus Art website and via Purple Octopus Art social media sites..
