Eiffel scholarship 2022 (France Government Scholarship) fully funded

The Eiffel scholarship program 2022 call for application is open now! International students from all over the world are invited to apply and get the opportunity to study in France for free. 

The Eiffel scholarship (France Government Scholarship) gives opportunity to the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries at master’s level, and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at PhD level.

All You Need to Know about Eiffel scholarship 2022

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters and PhD programs.

Eligibility:
  • in courses leading to Master degree
  • in an engineering program
  • A joint doctoral PhD program (joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree), in partnership with a partner institution abroad.
Scholarship Duration

Master’s level

  • A maximum of 12 months when enrolling in an M2
  • Maximum of 24 months when enrolling in an M1
  • A maximum of 36 months for the completion of an engineering degree


Doctorate level

  • The Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a period of 12 months in France.

Eiffel scholarship 2022 in France BENEFITS

Master’s level

Eiffel scholarship holders receive a monthly allowance of €1,181. In addition, the following benefits are
provided:

  • International air travel: Round-trip international air travel between the awardee’s home country and France.
  • Train travel within France: Campus France will provide a train ticket to the awardee’s first study location and a second ticket from the last study location to the airport.
  • Local transportation: Reimbursement of up to €50 of the cost of travel via taxi or public transportation from the airport or train station to the first study location.
  • Health insurance: Campus France will provide health insurance coverage.
  • Cultural activities.

Doctorate level

Eiffel scholarship holders a monthly stipend of €1,700. In addition, the following benefits are
provided:

  • International air travel: Round-trip international air travel between the awardee’s home country and France.
  • Train travel within France: Campus France will provide a train ticket to the awardee’s first study location and a second ticket from the last study location to the airport.
  • Local transportation: Reimbursement of up to €50 of the cost of travel via taxi or public transportation from the airport or train station to the first study location.
  • Health insurance: Campus France will provide health insurance coverage.

For both elements of the program, tuition fees are not covered by the Eiffel program.

Eiffel scholarship (France Government Scholarship) Eligibility

1. Nationality

The Eiffel Program is reserved for non-French nationals. Candidates with two nationalities of which one is French are not eligible.

2. Age

Candidates for the master’s component must be 25 or under at the time of the 2022 competition—that is, they must have been born after the 31 of March 1996. Candidates for the doctoral component must be 30 or under at the time of the 2022 competition; they must have been born after the 31 of March 1991.

3. Source of applications

Only applications submitted by French educational institutions will be accepted. These institutions commit to admitting awardees to the academic program specified in the application. Applications from any other source shall not be considered. Any candidate nominated by more than one institution shall be disqualified.

4. Academic levels targeted

Eiffel Program scholarships are intended for students seeking to enroll in a master’s level program in France (including at a school of engineering) and for doctoral candidates. Only programs recognized by the French government are eligible. The Eiffel Program cannot be used at French-run programs abroad or in connection with apprenticeship contracts or professional training contracts.

5. Language proficiency

When preselecting non-French-speaking candidates, institutions shall ensure that the candidates’ language skills meet the requirements of the academic program.

6. Geographic location

Master level: Candidates already studying in France are ineligible.
Doctoral level: Students enrolled in academic programs abroad have priority over students already in France.

How to apply for Eiffel scholarship 2022 (France Government Scholarship)

For students

Student can not apply directly to the Eiffel scholarship 2022 (France Government Scholarship), becuase only applications submitted by French higher education institutions are accepted.

1. First step

  • Contact Campus France in your country of origin or the French Embassy’s Cooperation and Cultural Action Department, who can guide you and advise you on your study plans.
  • To learn about the procedures and deadlines for submitting an application, contact the international relations department of a French institution via its website, by e-mail or by telephone.
  • It’s up to you to choose the school or university that best fits your plans for studying in France.
  • All French higher education institutions can submit applications.


2. Second Step

  • The institution accepts and supports your application for the Eiffel scholarship
  • The institution submits your application online via the dedicated Campus France website
  • Applications sent directly by students or by foreign institutions will be declared ineligible.

For institutions 

  • You are an institution and you have already participated in the Eiffel program => You should have received an email concerning the download of application files. If that is not the case, please contact them on candidatures.eiffel@campusfrance.org.
  • You are an institution participating for the first time in the Eiffel Program => Please Contact them in order download the application files.
